View South from 12th Street just west of Damen, 1934. In the distance the beginning of the twin spires of the once German parish of St. Pauls can be seen and beyond that the bulk of the old International Harvester plant located on the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal. The original physical character of the area remains to this day.
